Ariana Grande releases new song 'Imagine', announces European tour dates
Whilst ‘thank u, next’ continues to dominate charts across the globe, Ariana Grande has unveiled a brand new track called ‘Imagine’.
Produced by Happy Perez, JProof, and Andrew “Pop” Wansel, ‘Imagine’ is a dreamy ballad which sees Ariana reflect on an idyllic relationship, which is sadly no longer attainable. Whilst ‘thank u, next’ was a self-empowering offering, ‘Imagine’ allows the songstress to share her vulnerability when it comes to falling in love.
“Imagine a world like that / imagine a world like that / we go like up ’til I’m ‘sleep on your chest / love how my face fits so good in your neck / why can’t you imagine a world like that?” Ariana questions, whilst delivering a stunning vocal throughout.
Describing the song on social media earlier in the week, Ariana said: “But for those of you asking about imagine: I would say if ‘thank u, next’ = acceptance… ‘imagine’ = denial. hope that makes sense.”
She also said that ‘Imagine’ balances the energy between ‘thank u, next’ and another album track called ‘Seven Rings’ as they both showcase Ariana at her most confident, whereas ‘Imagine’ exposes the songstress’ insecurities.

Alongside the release of ‘Imagine’, Ariana has also announced European dates for her Sweetener World Tour. The tour will begin in London on August 17, 2019, and at present will finish in Zurich on October 13.
