Bruno Mars' Mother Dies
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bruno Mars is in mourning. The award-winning pop star's mother, Bernadette Hernandez, passed away on Saturday, June 1. According to Atlantic Record, Mars' label, Mrs. Hernandez died of brain aneurysm.
55-year old Mrs. Hernandez died at Queens Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii. There has not been any official statement yet from Mars or his management. Atlantic Records also asked the press to published the news anonymously as to wait for confirmation.
Bruno Mars emerged as a pop star with his hits such as "Lazy Song" and "Just the Way You Are". His newest single "When I Was Your Man" recently topped the music charts. His mother, who is a Filipino immigrant, was a hula dancer in Hawaii. She also was the one who introduced music to Bruno when he was a child.
